We at Hiley Mazda of Fort Worth have compiled a list of five fantastic carnival and rodeo events happening near you this year.

Stockyards Championship Rodeo

If you’re looking for some Western-themed family fun, check out the Stockyards Championship Rodeo. The competitions take place at Cowtown Coliseum, a historic indoor exhibition and rodeo performance center originally built in 1908. This location is one of Fort Worth’s most historic buildings and has hosted such prominent historical figures as presidents, queens, and music stars. Cowtown Coliseum has seen more than 200,000 competitions, 90,000 bulls, and 150,000 horses. Professional and amateur rodeo athletes travel from ranches in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming and beyond travel to Fort Worth to participate.

You can purchase tickets to this rodeo for most Friday or Saturday nights. To do so, call 1-800-COWTOWN or book your reservation online. You can choose between seating in the Bronze Star, Silver Spur, Gold Buckle, or VIP sections, which offer varying views and perks. The doors to the event open at 6 p.m. and the rodeo begins at 7:30 p.m. and lasts for approximately two hours. This event is located at 121 E. Exchange Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas, 76164.

Second Annual Caribbean Carnival Festival

Less than a 30-minute drive will get you from downtown Fort Worth to this fantastic carnival event in Arlington, Texas, hosted by Pineapple Jointz and Her Royalty Events. Browse vendors selling delicious food and drinks, as well as clothing, accessories, and other souvenirs. This is a fantastic opportunity to support small, local, and black-owned businesses while enjoying live Caribbean music and entertainment. There will also be a fantastic fashion show, so make sure to dress your best. Other attractions include a hookah lounge, VIP booths, and live mixing by DJ Jemari.

This Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area carnival is located at Cravens Park, 400 Cravens Park Drive, Arlington, Texas, 76018. It’s scheduled for 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2022. Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Qualifier Tournament

The countdown has begun to the 2023 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, scheduled for January 13th to February 4th, 2023. Leading up to this epic event is a series of qualifying rodeos that will decide who is worthy of participation in the final Western event. The culminating event is a 23-day-long celebration complete with rodeo events like livestock shows, horse shows, live music, shopping opportunities, and carnival activities. You can also enjoy food and drinks while you watch.

The qualifying events are scheduled for various locations around the DFW area, including the Ellis County Livestock Show and Rodeo in Waxahachie in May, the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse in Weatherford in June, the Johnson County Pro Rodeo Sheriff’s Posse in Cleburne in June, and the North Texas Fair and Rodeo in Denton in August. Troupe Vertigo: Cirque Carnaval

This May, the Los Angeles-based company, Troupe Vertigo, brings their daring act to Fort Worth. This bold carnival-inspired contemporary show for all ages features a combination of circus, dance, and theater. It includes aerial artists, contortionists, ballet dancers, and other performers of various backgrounds in a gravity-defying act. The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will accompany the performance, adding a dramatic symphony score to an already breathtaking evening of entertainment.

Three performances are scheduled, one at 7:30 p.m. on May 6, one at 7:30 p.m. on May 7, and one at 2 p.m. on May 8, 2022. Professional Bull Riders (PBR) World Finals

This year, the PBR World Finals event is being held in Fort Worth. This two-weekend event will feature some of the best bull riders in the nation, culminating in the crowning of the 2022 PBR World Champion. Other prizes will go to winners like World Champion Bull and Rookie of the Year. If you’re ready to be immersed in the thrill of bull riding and bucking at one of the most well-equipped rodeo venues in town, don’t miss this historic event. The event is also family-friendly, so you can bring the kids along for a weekend they’ll never forget.

The first half of the PBR World Finals, also known as “PBR: Unleash the Beast at Dickies Arena,” will take place on May 13-15, and the final rounds the following weekend from May 19-22.
