MELT Ice Creams serves classic handmade ice cream with farm-fresh fruit and top-quality dairy products from local Texas farms and offers a range of non-dairy vegan options. Also, a portion of all purchases made goes toward supporting local organizations to help spread happiness within the community.

MELT Ice Creams’ menu changes approximately every six weeks to introduce new flavors. These flavors, called Sometimes Flavors, reflect what’s currently in season, and examples of previous Sometimes Flavors include Berry Berry Pie and Texas Lavender Honey Crunch. These flavors join the Always Flavors, which include classic options like vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. Consider trying one of its exclusive Always Flavors, such as Salt Lick, which is a salted caramel ice cream, or Cup of Texas, which is a coffee ice cream made with roasted coffee from local roasters.

Curly’s Frozen Custard

Curly’s Frozen Custard opened nearly 20 years ago and its founders collaborated with flavor experts, food scientists, and friends and family to develop its signature frozen custard formula. The result was a rich, creamy blend of Indonesian vanilla flavoring with two mystery ingredients to create a proprietary custard. In addition to custard treats, Curly’s serves a selection of Nathan’s Hot Dogs and options from local suppliers, such as The Bakery Group, Deen Meat Company, and Fort Worth Fudge Co.

The Curly’s menu includes custard served in concretes, sundaes, floats, malts, shakes, and ice cream sandwiches, and you can create your own concrete or sundae or pick a signature creation. Choose from a variety of custard flavors, and select from a range of options for toppings and mix-ins like candies, fruits, nuts, and sauces. Some specialty creations include the Curly’s Crunch Concrete, which is vanilla custard with chocolate chips and peanut butter, and the Texas Tornado Sundae, which has vanilla custard topped with habanero nut brittle, penuche fudge, and caramel popcorn, served with whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry.

Morgan’s Ice Cream

Morgan’s Ice Cream began in July 2020, giving a fresh start to a previous local favorite. Local coffee shop owners Stephanie and Jeff contacted the previous owners about collaborating to make coffee ice cream for their Dwell Coffee & Biscuits shops, but the owners offered to simply sell them the shop instead. After five months of updates and testing, Morgan’s Ice Cream reopened its doors under its new name in December 2020. Since then, it’s won Reader’s Choice for Best Frozen Treat in the Best of Fort Worth 2021 and expanded to include a second location in Burleson.

Morgan’s Ice Cream specializes in small-batch ice cream. Its menu of flavors offers a selection of permanent flavors and rotating options, and it offers a few gluten-free and vegan options. For a fruity treat, consider its top-selling Strawberry Magic flavor, which is a strawberry ice cream with pieces of gooey butter cake mixed throughout. If you’re in the mood for something decadent, try the fan-favorite Wookies Cookies, which is a sweet cinnamon ice cream with chocolate shavings and crumbled oatmeal cookies.

It aims to put a unique twist on traditional soft serve ice cream by translating the traditional hard scoop ice cream experience into soft serve offerings. This includes combining fresh ingredients with its dairy base to create distinct flavor profiles and offering a variety of unique and house-made toppings.

The Cow Tipping Creamery menu includes a variety of options, including soft serve in a cup, waffle cone, or waffle bowl or as a stacker or a shake. Stackers are its twist on traditional sundaes, and they involve layering the soft serve and homemade baked goods throughout the cup or cone. For example, chocolate lovers may enjoy the Death by Chocolate Shaker, which includes your choice of soft serve layered with brownie bits and topped with cocoa cookie crumb, chocolate chips, and brown sugar hot fudge.
