Mazda 2023 Line-up overview
2023 is the year of SUVs for Mazda, and the coming lineup is something to anticipate. Below, you can explore the three SUVs Mazda is releasing for customers who are looking for bigger vehicles to aid their family trips, school drop-offs, or solo adventures.
Mazda CX-50

The 2023 Mazda CX-50 is a five-passenger SUV that will help you cross most terrain with confidence. Its engine setup is similar to that of the CX-30, but you can opt for the available turbocharged engine that delivers up to 256 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque. With the right configuration, this small but mighty vehicle can tow up to 3,500 pounds.
The CX-50 incorporates all-wheel drive so that you can get optimal traction and responsiveness. There are also different drive modes to choose from, which allow you to have the optimal driving experience. You may choose Normal mode to get the ideal balance of fuel economy and performance. If you want to put responsiveness at the forefront and have a more dynamic driving experience, you can put the CX-50 in Sport mode. There’s also Off-Road mode, which coordinates the engine torque and brakes to ensure your wheels get optimal traction on rougher terrain.
Mazda designed the CX-50 with nature in mind, and this is evident in its exterior and interior aesthetics. The exterior has high ground clearance, a low roofline, and a wide body, all of which make it a resilient vehicle that’s suitable for on-road and off-road driving. While there will be several color options available, we’re most excited about the Zircon Sand Metallic option. This outdoor-inspired shade will complement the available Terracotta interior leather trim perfectly. Also inside the CX-50’s cabin, you can have optional features like a heated steering wheel and heated front and rear seats.
The Mazda CX-50 will also introduce a 2.5 Turbo Meridian Edition. This vehicle will have unique components like CX-50 Meridian hood graphics, headlamp garnishes, side rocker garnishes, all-terrain tires, and 18-inch black metallic alloy wheels. You’ll also have the choice to elevate this vehicle even further with the optional Apex Package that includes add-ons like rear and front splash guards, a roof platform, and crossbars.
The 2023 Mazda CX-50 is quite affordable, as it has a starting price of $26,800. If you want to finance this vehicle with peace of mind, you can visit our finance center here at Hiley Mazda of Fort Worth. If you aren’t ready to take the plunge into car ownership, we also have leasing options so you can enjoy the new CX-50 as soon as it becomes available.
Mazda CX-70
The 2023 Mazda CX-70 is another mid-size SUV that will seat five passengers, but it’ll incorporate a different engine. The base engine will likely be a turbocharged six-cylinder engine, although specific metrics for power are not yet available. There will also be an option for a plug-in-hybrid powertrain that implements a four-cylinder gas engine, a combination that can help you save on your gas bill. It’s also worth noting that each Mazda CX-70 will incorporate an all-wheel-drive system and longitudinal architecture, which Mazda customers have been highly anticipating.
While the CX-50 will have a luxurious cabin, the CX-70’s will take it up a notch. It’s likely that there will be interior trim options featuring materials like grained wood, Nappa leather, and woven textiles. As far as infotainment and connectivity go, we anticipate that the CX-70 will have a standard 10.3-inch touchscreen that will include compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You’ll likely be able to upgrade to a larger screen, but the user-friendliness and intuitiveness of the standard screen will be more than enough for any user to have an enjoyable experience.
With a vehicle as high-performing and sleek as the Mazda CX-70, it’s important that you invest in the proper maintenance. Instead of taking on maintenance tasks yourself, you can bring your vehicle to us at Hiley Mazda of Fort Worth. The folks at our service center will inspect your vehicle and perform needed services. From there, you can get on our maintenance schedule, which can help you keep up with your CX-70’s condition without a second thought. Just bring in your vehicle on your scheduled days, and we’ll perform routine services like an oil change and tire rotation.
Mazda CX-90
The 2023 Mazda CX-90 will likely be similar to the CX-70 in several ways. For example, it’ll have the same all-wheel-drive system and longitudinal architecture and all-wheel-drive system. It’ll also have the same engine options. Note that you may be able to opt for a rear-wheel-drive system to increase your fuel economy slightly.
One of the CX-90’s most distinguishing features is its three-row configuration. It can seat up to six or seven passengers, depending on how many seats you opt for in the back row. This makes it the perfect vehicle for a larger family, and you’ll be able to fold some seats down to create additional cargo space.
Mazda is no stranger to prioritizing safety, and it hasn’t made any exceptions with the CX-90. Some standard safety features it’ll include are standard blind-spot monitoring, standard lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and standard automatic emergency braking. You’ll likely be able to opt for additional safety features, but the ones that come already included should be more than enough to maintain the safety of you and your passengers.
Mazda plans to eventually phase out the existing CX-9. The CX-90 will be this beloved vehicle’s replacement, and it’s certainly a more luxurious upgrade.
