Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge

Learn more about native flora and fauna at the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge. Across its more than 3,600 acres, the center teems with fascinating plants and animals, giving you the chance to discover more about the natural history of north-central Texas. It’s considered one of the largest city-owned nature centers in the United States and boasts over 20 miles of hiking trails. Located on Lake Worth, the center is also a great place to launch a canoe and explore the water.

Fort Worth Botanic Garden

Explore the beauty of nature at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. The 23 specialty gardens here are home to more than 2,500 species of plants. The world-renowned Japanese Garden offers koi-filled ponds and dramatic waterfalls, and the 10,000-square-foot Conservatory will allow you to explore winding paths lined with tropical foliage.
