Fort Worth has a wide variety of cuisines for all palates, but if you are craving Chinese, then there are a few spots you should check out. Below you will find a few savory choices this city has to offer, perfect for all budgets and occasions.
Tang’s Pacific Bistro
Specializing in Chinese cuisine, sushi, and Cajun-style seafood, Tang’s Pacific Bistro is a family-run, casual restaurant with roots in Taiwan. This Chinese eatery sets itself apart from other traditional Chinese restaurants by serving dishes showcasing exotic and authentic Asian cuisine. Their menu is made up of fresh ingredients which are prepared daily.
Tang’s Pacific Bistro has a large menu of familiar and unusual dishes to try. Try a chef’s specialty, such as the Beef with Scallops, which is a hearty dish made with large scallops and top-quality beef in a secret sauce. Another item recommended by the head chef is General Tso’s Chicken — pieces of crispy chicken coated in a spicy sauce and thrown together with red peppers and onions. Other unique Chinese dishes include Chicken With Black Bean Sauce, Moo Goo Gai Pan, Szechuan Beef, and Ma Po Tofu. Try Mu Shu, a burrito-looking dish made with sauteed green onion, eggs, and mixed vegetables, wrapped in a delicate Chinese crepe and served with a tangy plum sauce.
Lunch at Tang’s Pacific Bistro is served daily until 3 p.m. Enjoy discounted prices on appetizers and soups during the daily happy hour, which runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Cannon Chinese Kitchen
This is not your average traditional or Chinese-American restaurant. This eatery has a very warm and eclectic feel, being that it is set in a remodeled home from the 1930s and its decor consists of strikingly bright wallpaper and plush furniture. What makes it Chinese then, you might ask? Well, they utilize Chinese ingredients to create their own unique dishes. Cannon Chinese Kitchen places an emphasis on freshness and quality, and they prepare many dishes and sauces from scratch.
Their fare is served family-style and arrives at your table one by one as they leave the kitchen. Pass plates around the table with your friends and family, and enjoy the warmth and comfort of this cozy bungalow. Their menu features appetizers in the form of small plates, such as soups, various dumplings, and even a dish called Char Siu Bao — steamed sweet buns with shredded pork in a sweet and sour sauce.
Cannon Chinese Kitchen also offers family-style shared plates with rare delicacies, such as a fried rainbow trout, or more common items like Kung Pao Chicken. Also served at the restaurant is fried rice with a variety of meats or tofu. You can also add a good amount of vegetables to your order by getting dishes such as Lemon Garlic Bok Choy and Wok-Seared Szechuan Green Beans.
Happy hour runs Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with discounted appetizers being served alongside signature drinks. Choose from pork and leek dumplings, pork and shrimp spring rolls, a nine-layer scallion pancake, and mushrooms in soy paper. Try a Chinese-inspired Lychee Martini made with lychee puree, lemon, and vodka. Select wines are also offered on their drink menu at 50% off.
Cannon Chinese Kitchen is located at 304 W. Cannon St. and is open Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
