Fort Worth, Texas, has some of the best steakhouses in the state. They’re renowned for their sauces and rubs as much as their tender meats, and many people have marked their favorite places to visit. Here are some of the best places for steak and more in Fort Worth.

For a taste of steak and barbecue that’s out of this world, you can make a trip to Riscky’s Steakhouse at 120 E. Exchange Ave., in Fort Worth. The lunch menu includes country favorites like chicken fried steak, a 10-ounce ribeye steak, a 7-ounce tenderloin filet, 6- and 10-ounce flat iron steaks, center-cut pork chops, and a savory smoked catfish filet. You can also get a chicken fried chicken sandwich if you want to eat on the go.

You can start your dinner with a small order of barbeque grilled shrimp, buffalo chicken tenders, or escargot in garlic butter with mushroom caps. If you want to try out a bit of everything, you can choose Riscky’s Sampler Platter. It comes with grilled shrimp, pork ribs, fried provolone cheese sticks, and calf fries with homemade gravy.

Bring a date for the spectacular Texas Twosome dinner. It includes calf fries, a 6-ounce filet, an 18-ounce ribeye, and two glasses of wine. You can also choose the steak and lobster plate (a 7-ounce bacon-wrapped steak filet and a 10-ounce lobster tail). For dessert, you can try pecan pie with cream cheese filling and a scoop of Blue Bell ice cream, Godiva double chocolate cheesecake, bread pudding with bourbon sauce, or a chocolate tuxedo mousse dome.

Riscky’s Steakhouse is open for lunch and dinner. You can visit this place on Sunday and Monday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

B&B Butchers and Restaurant

If you go to B&B Butchers and Restaurant at 5212 Marathon Ave. in Fort Worth, you can get a fresh cut of meat that moves almost immediately from butcher to table. B&B Butchers and Restaurant doesn’t just prepare its meat cuts. The butchers cut the meat to exact specifications. The establishment’s slab meals are the talk of the town, and the house-smoked lamb bacon slab with German mustard is a local favorite.

You can start your meal with a light prosciutto and burrata cheese plate, tuna tartare, or the Carpet Bagger on the Half Shell (oysters with filet mignon and pork belly). Try the B&B “Steak” House Salad stack, which comes with filet mignon, three-onion jam, thick-sliced tomatoes, crumbled blue cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. For dinner, you can try 8-ounce, medium-rare beef Wellington. For a mix of breakfast and dinner flavors, try the Steak a la Berg, a combination of sliced sirloin, savory hash browns, and sauteed mushrooms in Madeira sauce.

The porterhouse and long bone steaks both weigh 40 ounces. You can also try the 22-ounce bone-in ribeye, which uses 55-day, dry-aged Wagyu ribeye or 55-day, dry-aged American prime ribeye. The 4-ounce tenderloin is one of the rarest cuts in the world, the Tajima cattle cut from Kobe in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. For a simple but satisfying traditional steak, choose the 10-ounce Butcher’s Butter cut. You can finish your meal with a dessert, like chocolate cake, creme brulee, or the New York-style cheesecake.

The steakhouse is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Since this place has an attached butcher’s shop, you can also take home the cuts you love most and prepare them yourself. You can visit the butcher shop every day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Grace

Grace at 777 Main Street in Fort Worth is an American gourmet restaurant with Executive Chef Blaine Staniford. You can select one of several house sauces to go with your steak, including chimichurri, bearnaise, espresso horseradish, and cognac peppercorn marrow.

You can also add your choice of toppings to your cut, including caramelized red onions and mushrooms, black truffle butter, butter-poached Maine lobster, American Artisan blue cheese, or organic poached eggs. If lamb is more your style, try a full Colorado rack of lamb with Romanesco broccoli, golden raisin chutney, cauliflower puree, and a braised leg. Grace also offers seafood plates, including Maine Diver Scallops, Murray Cod, and Rhode Island fluke. This restaurant is open from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
